We offer you the widest choices of modern school buses, from a wheel chair lift equipped bus, to sizes that range from small to large 83-passenger capacities. Many of our school buses feature the latest in value, added comfort and safety options, such as additional emergency exits, tinted glass, public address systems, night-time reflective markings, strobe lights, crossing gate arms, communication equipment, overhead parcel racks and underbody storage bays.

Top Facilities

Our office and shop repair facilities are equipped with some of the latest advances in computer software and technology equipment to assist our mechanics and support staff to be productive and efficient in the repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.

A Truly Modern Company

Lamers currently uses a company wide computer network system that allows our staff to use features such as Internet, E-mail, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and Outlook. We use modern office equipment to help our staff perform their tasks. Recently, Lamers installed the latest advanced voice over data IP phone systems through Polycom Systems, which allows us to place, receive and transfer multiple calls between all of our offices regardless of location which allows us to be more productive and serve our customers needs.

Large Scale Computerized Systems

Lamers uses a custom designed field-trip reservation system that allows us to view, quote, and schedule, confirm, and dispatch available buses or drivers with multiple users and locations for fast, up to date information on available equipment. In addition, we use the computerized trip builder program PC Miler which uses a street mapping system that will allow our staff to quickly and consistently price trips, get directions, and calculate distance and travel time for our customers and drivers. Depending on the school district we serve and their requirements, we may either use our custom designed student information and route scheduling program, or use the powerful computerized routing and school boundary software system from VersaTrans Solutions.

Technology to Promote Safety

In an effort to stay competitive, weighing cost verses benefit, we always continue to look for ways to make our operation more efficient, safe and productive with new software programs, technology and equipment upgrades. Recently, we have installed in all of our buses the Child Check systems which is designed to remind drivers to check their bus for sleeping children before leaving the bus parked.

24 Customer Service & Mechanics

We provide customer service agents and mechanics 24 hours a day to assist customers or drivers should the need arise due to a vehicle breakdown or an emergency situation.
