Montello
The city of Montello is situated on the Fox River. There is a dam built on an upstream from the river known as the Buffalo Dam. Montello is most well known in Wisconsin as it has the largest living tree in the state. The city s located at the intersection of Wisconsin Highways 22 and 23. This intersection is the location of the only traffic light in the county. The city is rich in heritage and has lots of different attractions for people looking for a good holiday.Contact Details

A Little About Montello
This town has many different historical sites from homesteads of famous people to other things Montello's granite quarry. Some examples of the famous historical figures are:
But Montello also has some natural wonders to behold, Wisconsin's largest tree, a giant cottonwood, can be seen in the front yard of the historic Le Maison Granit on Underwood Ave. Montello also has several beautiful lakes that can be enjoyed by all the public and there is a variety of wetlands and wood lands where many different types of wildlife live, most notably the Sandhill Cranes. The city takes full advantage of its natural resources allowing for water sports and water activities along with splendid golf courses and plenty of sporting facilities.
