What You’ll Do:
Lamers is currently hiring diesel mechanics to maintain and perform repairs on the fleet. Most terminals are primarily populated with school buses, however, some locations will also have other vehicles. These vehicles are primarily diesel or gasoline units and the repair necessary could involve the exterior or interior of vehicles. As a Diesel Mechanic with Lamers Bus Lines you will perform all levels of preventive maintenance services, diagnose and repair malfunctions using computer diagnostic software, identify warrantable repairs and document repair orders. Our Diesel Mechanics are expected to work in a timely, efficient and safe manner.

Requirements:
- 1+ years of mechanic experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or Technical mechanic certification (preferred)
- A valid driver’s license is required, and, must either possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain a CDL license (required)
- ASE Certifications (preferred)
- Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematics
- Sitting, standing, walking, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs. on occasion and up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift, fingering, talking, hearing, and seeing.
