Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on our diesel-powered school buses and/or motor coaches. The ideal mechanic will have a strong background in diesel engine systems and heavy equipment maintenance. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Key Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engine and transmission systems.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure equipment compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance and repair projects.
Mechanic Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and, must either possess a CDL or have the ability to obtain a CDL license (required)
- ASE Certifications (preferred)
- Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
Mechanic Pay:
