Today we’re proud to celebrate National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day. In 1944, we were founded by Lyle and Ellen Lamers. We were a one-bus operation, serving the old Grant School District (now part of the West De Pere School District), where Ellen was a teacher. Lyle was a farmer and for many years they operated the business right at the farm. Over the years, the company kept growing and in 1966, we opened our corporate office in Green Bay.

Today, four generations of the Lamers family have worked at the company and it is currently being led by Lyle and Ellen’s sons, Allen (President) and Kevin (Corporate Secretary). We have 39 locations, two in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, one in Florida, and 36 throughout Wisconsin.
