The 2019 Chicago Flower and Garden Show celebrates the theme, “Flowertales: The Story Grows On.” This year marks the 172nd year since the event originally began, tracing it’s roots to 1847.

See more than 700 plant varieties including roses, hydrangea, tulips, hyacinth, azaleas, veggies and more. The show provides 42,000+ gardening enthusiasts to the sights, scents and sounds of feature gardens with blooming perennials, annuals and trees while water features rustle throughout the festival halls of Chicago’s acclaimed Navy Pier.

This year features 21 life-sized gardens, highlighting the best of what local landscape designers, builders and suppliers have to offer. The Home and Garden Marketplace is a shopper’s paradise with over 100 exhibitors of gardening, landscape and horticulture products and services showcasing their green and eco-friendly wares.

The show is the official start to spring—just one glimpse of these beautiful gardens and you’ll forget there’s still snow on the ground. Find the most beautiful flowers, plants, and trees, along with the finest garden designs. Local landscape designers and builders create realistic solutions within their feature gardens and displays that inspire and demonstrate possibilities for your own gardens, yards or balconies.

Whether you have a green thumb, or just enjoy the beauty of a garden, there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.
