We meet our tour docent for the short drive to the Black Point Estate, where we will enjoy a guided tour. This 20 room Queen Anne-style “cottage” was built in 1888. After a $1.9 million restoration, this home opened for tours in 2007, but was only accessible by boat. This Wisconsin Historical Society assumed responsibility for the estate in 2013, and it’s now accessible by road.
