6 Day Tour
Availability : November 14-19, 2022

The magic of the season is just beginning and there’s no better way to jump in than a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge. They love Christmas and do it up right! Enjoy an included lunch before continuing our journey to the first overnight in Louisville, KY at the Drury Inn & Suites.

We continue traveling through Kentucky today, stopping at Berea for lunch at the historic Boone Tavern. Owned and operated by Berea College, the tavern is more of a roadhouse than its name would indicate. Students of the tuition-free Berea College operate Boone Tavern. Later we continue to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and our accommodations at always-Christmas themed The Inn at Christmas Place for the next three nights. If this lovely Inn doesn’t get you into the spirit nothing will! This evening have dinner at the Bullfish Grill then hear the sounds of your first holiday performance at the Country Tonite Show.

Your morning is leisurely with time to check out the beautiful Christmas decorations all over the Inn. Later this morning join up with the group for a short drive to Dollywood. The annual Smoky Mountain Christmas is hands down America’s best Christmas tradition. Here, the skies dance with the glimmer of more than 5 million twinkling lights and sounds fill the air with Christmas cheer. Enjoy most of the day here in this amazing atmosphere. The bus picks everyone up and we join the antics and holiday fun at the Hatfield & McCoy’s Dinner Show. This evening finds up back at Dollywood for a celebratory crescendo of the day with the fantastic five million light display throughout the park and seasonal fireworks for a spectacular ending.

Today we are joined by a local guide to experience the Country Christmas Tour of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in America’s most visited National Park with a huge diversity of wildlife including the majestic Black Bear. This evening is the highlight of the entire trip. Dinner will be on the Captain’s Deck of the Titanic. Learn all about this iconic time in history as you wander this attraction. Then sit down to a private holiday meal while you listen to stories about the people who were on this fateful voyage.

We will leave Pigeon Forge this morning heading for our overnight accommodations in the Louisville, KY area. Of course we halt at the ‘big bat’ to visit the Louisville Slugger Museum to see how baseball bats are made and learn the history of some of the more famous bats. Capping off a fun holiday trip this evening we enjoy dinner and a show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse. Overnight at the Hampton Inn in Clarksville, IN

With the beauty and music of the Smokies in our memories, we continue home to family and friends.
